Day Two Hundred and Six
I recorded these sticky tape sounds whilst preparing for a "guess the sound" workshop with primary school kids yesterday. In this game one child is blindfolded and tries to guess the sound another makes using an everyday object. It's a really interesting exercise in listening and fun for the kids too. If they can't guess what it is the others in the class describe the sound, which is difficult because they are used to describing how something looks ("it's green", etc.). Also it's fun for me because it's the only gig where I get to use my rubber chicken... Plus cymbals and (very) slowed down drum sounds from my gig last week.
