Day Two
On New Year's Eve I spent some time with the kangaroos at Latrobe Wildlife Sanctuary, and some frogs who were so talkative I've been thinking about them ever since. Each with their own voice and, seemingly, in their own time, croaking some really interesting rhythms that worked together to form different melodic and rhythmic patterns.
This is my interpretation - clave loops at five different pitches, each one a different length to create phasing between the parts. The backing is a slowed down version of the shaker from yesterday. And yes, I do write my name on my claves...
