Momentum: Deutsche

This work is the latest in a 10 year long exploration of daily life and travel through sonic journaling. Momentum: Deutsche was created during two weeks in Recklinghausen and Berlin in May and June 2023 and features many layers of field recordings, digitally altered and collaged.

Momentum: Deutsche was created and compiled in a different way to the previous versions of this project. One recording was made each day but I loosened the rules of construction for myself, allowing all the pieces to be put together in a non linear fashion. For example, the birds from the beginning of the track also find their way into the end. It wasn't feasible for me to create a stand alone track each day of my trip, so the full version is the only one, and serves as a snapshot rather than a strict sonic timeline of my journey.
