Chapala: Seven
Hopped on the bus for an hour up to Guadalajara, the second biggest city in Mexico - all the traffic and people quite a shock after a week in such a quiet town. There's a church near the art gallery (my destination) that has a revolving show of religious icons like a cuckoo clock except more reverent, with bells playing on the hour. I also recorded some church bells on the other (east) side of town as the sun was setting. You can hear the loudspeaker or the track being turned on and off as the different recordings of bells/different pitches are played.
Part Seven: Skateboards, squeaky swings and people milling by the lake. Two different sets of church bells in Guadalara (the first played at pitch, the second repeated with a ping pond delay and pitched down).
